1. Click Start 2. Click Run
3. Enter services.msc
4. Double-click DNS Client in the list
5. Set its start-up type to Automatic
6. Click the Start button
7. Click OK
8. Close the Services list
Now that it's running you'll find that the ipconfig /flushdns command works properly.
